Last Weekend...

Thursday, a week ago, I traveled up to Greensboro to visit with my libertarian peers. I had the pleasure of breaking bread with current and past members of the UNC-G libertarian group. They really gave me a warm welcome. I am inspired by their spirit and commitment to Liberty!

The next day, along with one of my Greensboro friends, I made my way to the Dixie Classic Fair in Winston-Salem. We gathered petition sigs and introduced the libertarian philosophy to a good number of people. One of these people, who had signed our petition, reported some monkey business at the Republican booth.

One of the local Republicrats was telling folks that if they signed our petition, they would be joining the LP.

Needless to say, my blood began boiling! So, like any good libertarian, I proceeded to the Republiscum booth to set things right. Robert Sinnott accompanied me. I played dumb and asked the fascist about the allegation. He confirmed it, telling me that by signing the petition, you became a member of the LP.

I then let him know who I was... I said he was spreading lies. He bumbled uncomfortably and said the State Board of Elections told him the "lie". I wouldn't put it past the SBOE to distort the truth...however, I believe the Republicrat told another lie.... Robert was giving him Hell as well. I finally told him that we (LP) were playing in a rigged game, fighting a uphill battle as it was. I told him that I would appreciate him not making it harder on us.

The best part of the whole exchange was the horror expressed on the face of his booth co-worker! She looked like she just wanted to hide in a hole.

Damn liars...like I need more inspiration to despise the GOP, the party of neo-con war pigs.

I got back home around 1:30 am on Saturday. I got up at 7:30 am to go set up our booth at the Midland Magic Festival. We were able to gather a few signatures. The event was washed out. I did get to talk to Congressman Robin Hayes. I told him that my name would have been on the ballot had the LPNC not been certified. I told him that my vote for myself would not be counted.

As he was walking away, he said, "I don't know about that."

Yeah, Mr. Hayes, you don't care to know because you don't give a damn. The only thing he cares about is his power and privilege.

He is a war pig, pimping pork to his blind supporters. He is a traitor to Liberty.

The weekend was great, in spite of encounters with lying Republicans.
